Language trip to Bournemouth 2017

On Saturday, October 07, 2017, we met at the car park of the ETC. We loaded our luggage in the bus and said good bye to our parents. Then our journey to Bournemouth started. We went through Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, and France, where we took the ferry to Dover. At nine o’clock AM we arrived in Bournemouth. Our host families picked us up at the school and brought us to their homes. The rest of the day we had free time in Bournemouth.

Around 07:15 o’clock AM the next day we were collected near our host families and brought to school. At 4 o’clock pm we started playing laser quest. After that we watched a movie in the cinema, which was in the school.

On Tuesday we did a full day trip to London. Our guide Karen showed us the London Eye, the Big Ben, Buckingham Palace and many other popular places. Until the evening we had free time in London.

The next day we started with some lessons at school. After school we went to Salisbury where our guide Ian showed us the big cathedral and the Magna Carta – that’s an old writing about the rights between the king and the noblemen. After that we visited Stonehenge.

On Tuesday we went to Portland, a big island with very trappy water. Then we went to Weymouth, there we had some free time. At the end of our trip we visited Durdle door and walked along the steep coast. In the evening we sang some Karaoke songs.

On Friday, our last day in Bournemouth, we had five lessons in the morning. After school we had free time for four hours. At five o’clock we started our trip back home. It was a very hard trip like the first to Bournemouth. We arrived at the ETC at half past twelve PM.
